New traffic signal going up at Trenton Road intersection in Clarksville

A new traffic signal is going up at the intersection of Trenton Road and the new Spring Creek Parkway in Clarksville in early February.

According to a news release, the new signal will go into operation on February 5—the signal will begin with flashing on Wednesday and will continue that process until February 5 to notify the public of the new intersection.  Also, the Clarksville Street Department will be modifying pavement markings along Trenton Road to allow the intersection to function property.

Motorists are advised to expect periodic delays and use appropriate caution in the area.

This is part of the ongoing Spring Creek Parkway project, which is to connect two state highways—Trenton Road to Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and then ultimately to Ted Crozier, Sr. Boulevard.

The hope is to help take traffic pressure off of those state highways, along with I-24.
