A residence on North Kentucky Avenue was severely damaged by fire early Friday morning.
Firefighters responded to calls of smoke in the area just after 5 a.m. Friday and while they were investigating, crews located a home on fire in the 100 block of North Kentucky. Upon hearing that someone could be inside, crews conducted an aggressive fire suppression and search.
Ultimately, it was determined that home was vacant and no one was injured in the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown but is under investigation.
