Oak Grove receives $2 million grant for water project on KY 115

A big water project in Oak Grove is becoming even more in focus, after the City of Oak Grove received a sizable grant from the KY WWATERS program.

According to the Pennyrile Area Development District, the funding is awarded from House Joint Resolution 81, which was approved by the Kentucky General Assembly, as part of the Kentucky Water and Wastewater Assistance for Troubled or Economically Restrained Systems program.

Oak Grove was awarded $2 million for the KY Highway 115 North and Carneal Lane waterline extension and water tank project, which will expanded and strengthen water service in a part of Christian County that is growing rapidly.

Oak Grove has seen a large amount of development and growth in recent years, and having reliable water infrastructure will help keep that momentum going while supporting residents who call the area home.
