Carnival rides, live music, vendors and much more are set to take over the Oak Grove War Memorial Walking Trail Park for the 17th annual Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell Festival on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.
Scarlett Mayfield from the Oak Grove Tourism Commission recently appeared on WHOP to share what they have in store for this year’s Festival. In March the commission announced that Bret Michaels, the frontman of the band Poison, will be the headlining act on May 25.
Michaels is set perform at the Viceroy Amphitheater Stage at 7 p.m., but before that Mayfield says the festival opens at noon and carnival rides and vendors will be open to attendees.
Before Michaels’ performance attendees can look toward the sky to see the Fastrax Parachute Jumpers gliding through the air with an American flag. Following Michaels’ performance, the evening will conclude with a firework show at 9 p.m.
The festival resumes on Sunday, opening to the public at noon and closing at 6 p.m. Throughout both days of the festival, they will have multiple showings of the Pompeyo Ranch Dog Show and the Ninja Experience Show.
Mayfield also reminded listeners that the festival is free to attend.
