A Hopkinsville man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident that happened on Boales Street earlier in July.
The shooting itself happened on July 6 and at the time was reported as two separate incidents, where a minor victim was found with gunshot wound to the abdomen and an adult, identified as 20-year-old Culliyon McKnight, was found nearby with a graze wound from a gunshot to the head. The incident happened in the Pennyrile Homes area.
The minor was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment while McKnight was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
McKnight has since been treated and released, and was served with an arrest warrant for a charge of first-degree assault on Monday by the Hopkinsville Police Department.
