The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating a vehicle fire on Poplar Street Monday and a Hopkinsville resident has been charged.
According to the police report, Destinee Clark of Hopkinsville is accused of intentionally starting a fire with the intent to cause damage to a vehicle around noon Monday in the 2200 block of Poplar Street. The vehicle was destroyed due to the blaze.
Investigation put Clark in the area and she allegedly told officers she had been there to break the windows. However, she denied starting the fire.
Clark was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief.
