A Cadiz man was flown to an out-of-state hospital Sunday following a single-vehicle crash on Cerulean Road.
According to the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department, it happened at approximately 3:50 p.m. in the 4100 block of Cerulean Road and deputies arrived to find an 86-year-old Cadiz man entrapped in the vehicle that had overturned. First responders were able to extricate the man, and he was flown by helicopter to an out-of-state hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Preliminary investigation has reportedly determined that the man had been navigating a curve when he dipped off the right-side of the roadway and over-corrected. He crossed the center line and struck a guardrail, going off the roadway once again before striking an earthen embankment, causing the vehicle to roll.
