A Calvert City woman was injured in a crash on Frank Yost Lane Monday evening.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, the two-vehicle collision happened around 9:45 p.m. when a vehicle operated by 45-year-old Angel Smith of Calvert City attempted to make a left turn onto Frank Yost Lane.
During the turn is when she saw another vehicle and attempted to swerve, but that vehicle—operated by 23-year-old Lawson Pettus of Hopkinsville—also tried to swerve to avoid collision, and the two collided anyway.
Pettus was not injured in the crash, but Smith was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of numerous, non-life-threatening injuries.
Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
