Hopkinsville police are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting near Poston Avenue and Beech Street, and a Hopkinsville has since been arrested in connection to that shooting.
According to the police report, officers responded to the area around 8:30 p.m. Friday for reports of shots fired, and upon arrival, found a male victim in his 40’s with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
Investigation led to an interview several hours later with 20-year-old Jaden Miller of Hopkinsville, who allegedly admitted to shooting the victim earlier in the day.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
