The Logan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal crash near Franklin Road and West Valley Roads from Tuesday.
According to a report from WRUS, investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, determined a vehicle driven by Hector Garavito was heading east bound on Franklin Road at a reported high rate of speed when he attempted to pass a vehicle driven by Tiffany Stovall. While passing the vehicle, Garavito met an oncoming work truck driven by Marvin Bass, and the two collided head-on.
Garavito was pronounced deceased at the scene. Alcohol and speed are thought to be factors in the crash.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Russellville City Police Department, Logan County EMS, and the Russellville Rural Fire Department.
