The Pennyrile Area Development District Board of Directors received a presentation regarding their 2023 audit report which yielded no instances of noncompliance and a net positive at their meeting on Monday.
Jaime Petersen from Calhoun and Company shared that two major programs were tested and they were found to be compliant having no findings or questioned costs.
PADD Executive Director, Jason Vincent says a clean audit and a strong financial position is important to them as they multiple funding partners and a poor audit report might lead to partner agencies looking for services provided by PADD elsewhere.
Along with the audit, in their financial report Vincent shared that they are moving into the new year with a budget of around $27,000,000, which is an increase from last year.
The board approved the budget and the financial report, concluding the meeting.
