With the sixth annual Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K set for Saturday, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation announced what roads will be impacted by the races.
On Saturday the half marathon starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K starts at 8:20 a.m. As around 300 runners travel around town several roads on the race routes will be open to one-way traffic. The half marathon route will impact the following roads.
- North Main Street
- Cox Mill Road from North Main Street to Country Club Lane and from South Sunset Circle to Gary Lane
- Gary Lane from Cox Mill Road to Lafayette Road
- Lafayette Road from Gary Lane to the Eagle Way Bypass
The 5K route will impact the following roads
- Main Street
- Alumni Avenue
- Sterling Avenue
- Faulkner Drive
- Phelps Avenue
- Cherry Street
- 15th Street from the Greenway System to Bethel Street
- Bethel Street from Canton Street to 9th Street
In downtown Hopkinsville, 9th Street from 7th Street to Bethel Street will close starting at 5 p.m. on Friday and will reopen at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
