Parks and Recreation receives awards for outstanding performance

For their work in the community, Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation were the recipients of two outstanding performance awards at this year’s Kentucky Recreation and Park Society Conference.

According to a news release from Parks and Recreation they received an outstanding department award in the third division which recognizes the organization’s positive impact on the quality of life through programming and community engagement.

Parks and Recreation also received an outstanding program award in the third division for their seventh annual Summer Salute.

Superintendent Toby Hudson says they appreciate the opportunity to be recognized in their field, and the awards are a display of the hard work their staff dedicates each day.
