The Clarksville Police Department is investigating after a man was found laying in the roadway Thursday evening, having been hit by a vehicle.
According to a news release, officers responded alongside EMS to the 200 block of Providence Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. for reports of a male victim lying unresponsive in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers found the victim in the roadway, along with parts of a vehicle.
The victim was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Nashville for treatment, where his status is currently unknown.
Anyone who may have witnessed the pedestrian being struck by a vehicle is asked to call 911 at once.
