The Pennyrile Area Community Band is getting into the holiday spirit and they are inviting music lovers to join them at their annual Christmas Concert on Friday.
The community band was founded in 2018 and includes regional musicians with a wide range of experience, from beginners to professionals.
Community Band Director, Lori Boehman recently appeared on WHOP News and shared that the concert will include songs such as, “Sleigh Ride,” the score from the movie “Home Alone” and two feature performances Jose Rodriguez and David Harper.
The concert is free to attend, but Boehman says they do accept donations. The Christmas Concert will conclude the community band’s 2024 season, but they will return in April of 2025 for their annual Spring Concert.
The Christmas Concert is set for 6 p.m. on Friday at the Christian County Middle School Performing Arts Center. More information about the community band is available on Facebook at Pennyrile Area Community Band.
