To connect with their customers, Pennyrile Electric is hosting member appreciation events throughout its service region, and Today, the staff in Hopkinsville are giving out light bulbs and ice cream.
Pennyrile Electric is hosting member appreciation events at five locations across its service region. It all kicked off on Monday with a member appreciation event in Cadiz.
At Monday’s event, Brent Gilkey, the vice president of Membership Services and Communications, says over 1,300 members came and received light bulbs, ice cream and buckets. Gilkey says event attendees are also entered into a drawing for the chance to win $100 energy bill credits, and at each location there will be five winners.
Pennyrile Electric President Alan Gates says connecting with their customers and expressing their appreciation is a part of their mission as a rural cooperative.
Pennyrile Electric is working on expanding broadband internet connectivity to its entire service region. Gates says the project is around 85% complete, and they are currently working on expanding their internet services in Trigg County.
Pennyrile Electric’s Board of Directors will have their annual meeting on June 30 at 1 p.m., and folks can attend virtually on Zoom. June 30 is also Pennyrile Electric Day at the Western Kentucky State Fair, so members and their families will have free fair admission until 6 p.m. if they present the coupon found in the June issue of the Kentucky Living magazine.
The Christian County member appreciation event is at 2000 Harrison Street and concludes at 4 p.m. The next member appreciation event will be on Friday in Elkton at 421 South Main Street from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
