To support local students pursuing higher education, Hopkinsville’s Pioneers Inc. is inviting the community to their annual Scholarship Catfish Fry, with all proceeds going toward the organization’s scholarship fund.
Pioneer Arnold Lynch appeared on WHOP Radio on Tuesday to spotlight the upcoming fundraiser. Lynch shared that the Pioneers locally formed in 1952 and focuses on donating to those in need and providing academic scholarships.
On Friday, Lynch says for $15 folks can get some fried catfish, coleslaw, white beans, corn and hushpuppies. Funds from the catfish fry will go toward scholarships available to students at Hopkinsville and Christian County High Schools. Lynch says each year they award four scholarships
The catfish fry is on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pioneer’s Complex at 904 North Main Street.
