Police arrest Hopkinsville juvenile for alleged shooting threats

The Hopkinsville Police Department announced that a Hopkinsville juvenile was arrested on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in recent shooting threats that were posted to social media.

According to a report from police, on Monday the department was made aware of a post to social media made by an unknown person that included the names of multiple students the poster wanted to allegedly shoot.

Following an investigation by police along with cooperation from the Christian County Public School System and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, they were able to determine that the juvenile had possession of the device at the time the threats were posted.

The juvenile was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening and tampering with physical evidence. The police urge the community to share information concerning threats with law enforcement so that they can be investigated.
