A United States Postal Service employee was hit by a vehicle in Clarksville on Friday and had to be flown to a Nashville hospital.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, the collision happened on Virginia Terrace at roughly 5:20 p.m. on Friday when a vehicle heading eastbound near Jana Drive hit a 54-year-old postal worker while he was attempting to cross the roadway.
The victim was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, and he was considered to be in stable condition at the time of his transportation.
Officers are investigating the circumstances of the collision—the 23-year-old driver was cited for various charges at the scene and released.
