Pursuit ends in charges for Hopkinsville man

A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly led Hopkinsville police on a pursuit early Tuesday morning.

According to the police report, officers were patrolling in the area of West 14th Street and South Virginia Street around 4:20 a.m. when they attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to properly turn into the correct lane and reportedly did not have an illuminated rear license plate.

The driver, identified as 25-year-old Ke’Razion Crouch of Hopkinsville, allegedly accelerated instead of stopping, and a pursuit began through several city streets.  The pursuit came to an end when Crouch lost control of the vehicle and collided with a brick wall in the parking lot of the Colonial Motel.  He allegedly tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Crouch was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and numerous traffic violations.
