After a rainy and windy start to the week, we should see spring-like weather as we head into the weekend.
After stormy weather blows through Monday night and into early Tuesday morning, there does linger a very small chance for severe storms about mid-day Tuesday, with damaging winds the likely threat, but Forecaster Dan Spaeth with the National Weather Service in Paducah says confidence is low on any storms developing.
After that, the weather becomes calm, with the possibility of a light freeze during the overnight hours Tuesday.
Then, things warm back up with plenty of sunshine to close out the week, with forecasters keeping an eye out on the chance of rain for Easter weekend.
In the 8-to-14 day outlook, things are trending wetter than average—not something eager eclipse chasers want to hear, as we are rapidly approaching the total solar eclipse set to trek across the region on April 8—but with average April temperatures in store.
