Ninth District State Representative Myron Dossett has made it official—he will seek re-election to the seat that he has held since 2006.
He filed his paperwork to run as a Republican with the Secretary of State’s Office Thursday to seek his tenth term, and he says he’s been involved in the legislature for a long time and has become very good at the job—he says he appreciates all those that have supported him for many years and he hopes to have that support again.
He says he knows the ins-and-outs of the General Assembly, and he also feels that the 2021 tornadoes that hit western Kentucky, including Pembroke, and the recovery efforts that followed, have made him a better representative.
Dossett says most people, no matter what party they’re in, are looking for someone who can be a good communicator and advocate, and he feels he has shown he can be that.
Dossett is a small business owner and previously served as a Christian Fiscal Court magistrate before being elected to the House. Currently, he is running unopposed.
