Road work results in lane restrictions on I-24 in Trigg County

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet shared a schedule for maintenance set to be done on Interstate 24 in Trigg County throughout the week resulting in lane restrictions.

According to the cabinet’s announcement, work began on Monday on the shoulder of the interstate’s eastbound lanes between mile markers 66.5 and 67.5. From Tuesday to Wednesday work is set to continue on the shoulder of the eastbound lanes between mile markers 68 and 69 and all traffic will be moved to the eastbound left lane.

From Wednesday through Friday potholes between mile markers 58 and 70 will be patched on both eastbound and westbound lanes.

Throughout the week the work zones will be active from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The cabinet advises for motorists to be alert and have caution for trucks hauling materials in and out of work zones which may result in traffic delays.
