Roughly 200 Fort Campbell soldiers are on their way to Europe in support of the United States’ commitment to NATO allies and partners.
According to a news release, this is part of a regular rotation of forces to the European theater, and “Strike” soldiers of 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division will replace the 3rd Brigade Combat Team as part of a regular rotation. Flights will continue through March as soldiers go for a wide rage of U.S. and international training events alongside allies.
This exercise program is to build readiness, enhance interoperability and strengthen relationship .
The soldiers will be stationed in Germany, Romania, Poland and other locations.
On Wednesday, a change of command ceremony was conducted to bid farewell to Commander Colonel James Stultz and welcome Colonel Duke Reim as the new commander of the combat team. He will join his soldiers in Europe.
