After fairly cloudy skies for the total solar eclipse on Monday, the clouds are sticking around for the remainder of the week, as rainy spring weather settles into the region.
Warning Coordination Meteorologist Christine Wielgos with the National Weather Service in Paducah says there will be multiple rounds of rain moving through starting late tonight and lingering through Thursday, with anywhere between two-to-four inches possibly falling during that time frame.
She says it will feel like typical spring, with rainy weather and temperatures in the low-to-mid 60’s.
Wielgos says the rain will clear up some for the weekend, with temperatures creeping up, but the wet pattern seems to stick around in the 8-to-14 day outlook.
They’re not expecting much in the way of severe weather at this time, though possible minor flooding issues could be possible in areas that get heavier rainfall.
