Salvation Army building damaged in electrical fire

A Salvation Army building in Hopkinsville was damaged by fire early Thursday morning.

That’s according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Payton Rogers, who tells WHOP News that crews responded to the Salvation Army building on East Seventh Street just around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a small fire. The fire was quickly located inside the structure and extinguished.

There were no injuries and no one was inside the building when the blaze occurred.

The cause is believed to have been due to a faulty electrical outlet.
