Students in Christian County have a slightly longer summer break than normal—with the first day of school set for August 26—but resources to get ready for school are taking place in the lead up.
Superintendent Chris Bentzel spoke with WHOP lately and says they gave a bit of an extended break this year just to make sure that all renovations involving the rearranging of schools was complete before the school year began, and things are progressing well on that front.
CCPS has stayed busy during the summer, with the Summer Feeding program and numerous events hosted by the Family Resource and Youth Service Centers.
There will be open houses for all grade levels in August, starting with the middle and high school on August 20 and then elementary open houses on August 22. Bentzel says you can find out more on the CCPS website, which is where you can also find information about school supplies.
Online registration is still going on, with a map of the new school attendance zones available online as well. You can also stay up-to-date on what’s happening with Christian County Schools by following them on Facebook and other social media.
