A wreck on South Main Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday afternoon sent several individuals to the hospital for treatment.
According to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Tara Vittitoe of Louisville was heading west on East 4th into the intersection with South Main Street when she allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign. The vehicle collided with a Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy vehicle, causing Vittitoe’s vehicle to overturn.
Both Vittitoe and a passenger in the truck, 18-year-old Madalyn Staub of Louisville, were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Two deputies in the law enforcement vehicle also sustained minor injuries. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
