Dekorian Daniel, one of the three individuals arrested in connection to the 2021 shooting death of Adrian Acree, appeared in Christian County Circuit Court on Wednesday where he is set to undergo mediation.
Daniel is charged with complicity to murder in Acree’s death and is accused of helping Cortez Hairston Jr. commit the murder. On Wednesday, special prosecutor Zac Greenwell and Daniel’s defense attorney, Olivia Adams shared that they are awaiting case mediation.
Greenwell asked Circuit Judge, John Atkins if they should schedule a trial date before the mediation, but Atkins says a trial date can be established if necessary, following the mediation.
Along with the mediation Adams said that Daniel has a large amount of video discovery to review in the case and requested if she would be able to review it with him in the court to which Atkins approved.
Daniel’s mediation is scheduled for January 26.
