The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call concerning a single-vehicle roll over wreck on Edward T. Breathitt Parkway on Friday.
A report from the Sheriff’s Office states that Melinda Lodge of Hopkinsville was driving southbound on the parkway near the three-mile marker when she reportedly attempted getting into the left lane when she told deputies that another vehicle honked their horn at her.
In response to the other vehicle, Lodge reportedly swerved back into the right lane, but lost control of her vehicle which caused it to go off the roadway and overturn multiple times before it landed upright hitting a rock median.
Following the wreck, Lodge reported having chest pain and her passenger, Melissa Cooper of Hopkinsville reportedly suffered a severe laceration to her head. The pair were both transported to hospitals for their injuries.
