T-shirts fundraiser looks to bring new K-9 to CCSO

A fundraiser is now underway in Christian County to pave the way for a new K-9 unit for the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.

And that’s a loftier goal than you might imagine, as K-9 dogs are highly trained and specialized, many times over-seas, which means the cost of those canines can be pretty pricey. Erica Miller with the Christian County Judge Executive’s Office says they can be upwards of $10,000—so they’re hosting a t-shirt fundraiser to help raise the funds to get that law enforcement asset. For each shirt they sell, $10 will go back to support the cause.

The first round of orders need to be in by April 4, so if you’re interested in a purchase, contact the Christian County Judge-Executive’s Office at (270) 887-4100.

Shirts are $25 each for sizes small to extra-large, and anything larger than that will be $30. You can also turn your orders in to the Judge-Executive’s Office, located in the former Sheriff’s Office building on West Seventh Street.
