A teenager was flown to a Nashville hospital Saturday, after the side-by-side she was riding flipped on Ovil Road.
It happened in the 12000 block of Ovil Road just before noon, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Captain Paytons Rogers, who says a side-by-side UTV flipped while going approximately 10 miles per hour and rolled onto the 17-year-old victim.
The victim was transported to Lacy Elementary School where she was then flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Her injuries are described as serious, with significant pain to her back, neck and head, but she was able to move all of her extremities.
A second patient went by private vehicle to a local hospital.
