Even though it’s rather cold outside right now, this week is going to warm right up, bringing with it a springy-weather pattern that will have daily chances for rain.
Forecaster Rachel Trevino with the National Weather Service in Paducah says every day will have rain possibilities, but the best chances will be on Wednesday and Friday, with some storm chances possible as well.
Temperatures will creep up throughout the week, reaching near 80 degrees by Friday and Trevino says they’re keeping an eye out for severe weather.
She says they’re not overly concerned on that front just yet, but with this weather pattern shaping up to an active one, it’s best to stay weather aware.
Any rain that falls will be beneficial, hopefully driving the remainder of our drought out of the area and helping tamp it down in areas to our west. Trevino says those warmer than average temperatures and above normal chances for precipitation will continue in the 8-to-14-day outlook, and with the time change coming up Sunday, its going to feel very much like an early Spring.
