It’s almost time—the Book and Bottle Shop soon to be located in downtown Hopkinsville will officially open its doors with a ribbon cutting on November 12.
The new hybrid book store and wine shop is located at 123 East Ninth Street, or what locals would know as the old Tom Wade’s building. Co-owner and founder Rachel Sanders says there’s a lot of history attached that building, and they plan to do it justice while celebrating the renovations that have happened inside.
Sanders says she couldn’t be more excited—this shop is a dream come true, and as an avid book lover and wine enthusiast, she’s happy to bring this idea to life in her hometown.
They’ll have new books and they’ll have plenty of used books for shoppers to look through and choose from. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, Sanders says they can get it ordered for you easy enough. He says they’ll have books of all kinds and genres.
As for the wine, Sanders says they’ll offer imported wines that you wouldn’t easily find elsewhere, while also offer those local favorites.
She says they’ll have some small food options available for people to enjoy while they sample both wines and books. The ribbon cutting will take place November 12 at 11 a.m. and comes after over six months of construction and renovation.
The Book and Bottle Shop will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
