After Tiffany Mumford-Brame resigned as the District Two Representative of the Christian County School Board her vacancy was advertised and now there are three candidates who have filed for the position.
On Thursday, a news release from Christian County Public Schools shared that Ambrea Watkins, Virginia Erxleben and Marsha Garnett have applied to fill the unexpired term and meet the Kentucky Department of Education’s requirements for the position.
The School Board will hold a special called meeting on Monday to discuss and possibly approve one of the three candidates to take the seat. Superintendent Chris Bentzel says he trusts that the board will select the right candidate and looks forward to working with the new representative.
According to the news release, if a candidate is selected among the three applicants, they will take office immediately and be sworn in at the board’s November 16 meeting alongside District Four Representative Rebecca Pepper.
