Three Hopkins County residents are in custody on trafficking in fentanyl charges following investigation into drug trafficking operations in Hopkins County.
According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, detectives joined with Kentucky State Police to conduct a joint investigation that spanned several months where controlled buys were conducted against three individuals. Those individuals are 48-year-old Steve Binnix of Hanson and 27-year-old Jakkur Stum and 22-year-old Jarell Liddell, both of Madisonville.
All three allegedly sold narcotics that tested positive for being fentanyl, so three search warrants were conducted, two in Madisonville and another in Hanson. Those searches reportedly revealed fentanyl power, a handgun, cash, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl, while Stum was additionally charged with engaging in organized crime.
