Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal collision on Saturday in Muhlenberg County that resulted in the death of three individuals.
According to a news release, it happened in the intersection of U.S. 431 and Power Plant Roud in Muhlenberg County. Preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Whitney Duarte of Central City was heading southbound on U.S. 431, when the vehicle crossed the center line.
It collided with a pickup truck driven by 56-year-old Kevin Latham of Bremen. Both Duarte and Latham were killed in the collision, as was Latham’s passenger, 67-year-old Joey Watkins of Central City.
The investigation remains ongoing.
