A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 24 resulted in possible injuries on Friday.
A truck driven by Alan McKay of Petersburg, Illinois, was traveling east on I-24 when he came across some slow traffic as a result of construction taking place. John Wesley of Pembroke was traveling behind McKay and slowed down with the rest of the traffic.
However, Jhon Rodriguez of Chicago, Illinois, was traveling behind Wesley and reportedly failed to slow down. Rodriguez rear-ended Wesley, which pushed Wesley’s truck forward, hitting McKay’s vehicle.
After hitting Wesley’s truck, Rodriguez reportedly drove off the roadway and came to a stop at a fence in an embankment. Rodguez reportedly told deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office that he did not recall what happened.
Based on tire tracks left in the roadway, deputies were able to tell what occurred. Rodriguez was reportedly transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for possible injuries.
