A trial date has been set for the former Oak Grove City Payroll Clerk accused of abuse of public trust, after she allegedly falsified documents to garner more earnings.
Kentucky State Police arrested 38-year-old Hailey Bamford of Fort Campbell earlier in this year in April, and charged her with 14 counts of tampering with public records and with abuse of public trust less than $10,000. She is accused of falsifying or altering her time sheets on multiple occasions since May of 2022 through October of 2023, and allegedly received a minimum of an additional $6,208.75 due to those actions.
In the Christian Circuit Courtroom of Judge Andrew Self on Monday morning, attorneys informed the court that they feel close to a resolution in this case, they just need a little more time.
Judge Self felt it was prudent to go ahead and set a trial date, in the event a resolution can’t be reached, and so set it to start on May 4, 2026.
The Kentucky State Police investigated the case. Assistant Attorney General Barbara Whaley presented the case to the Grand Jury on behalf of the Commonwealth.
