To support STEM projects and programs for students in the service region, the Tennessee Valley Authority is inviting educators to apply for its 2025 STEM Education Awards.
In 2018, the TVA began partnering with Bicentennial Volunteers Inc., a TVA retiree organization, to support STEM projects and programs in schools. Since the program’s beginning, the TVA has awarded over $8 million in STEM Awards.
TVA Senior Media Specialist Adam May says they are offering $1.5 million and educators can apply for up to $5,000.
By supporting STEM education, May says the TVA hopes the program will encourage more students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
May says the award winners will be announced in the fall, and those educators will receive the grants during the spring semester.
Interested educators can apply at TVA.com/stem, and the deadline is September 15.
