Two Crofton residents injured in Dawson Springs Road collision

Two Crofton residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at Highpoint Drive and Dawson Springs Road Wednesday morning.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, a vehicle operated by 49-year-old Chris McKee of Hopkinsville was trying to make a left turn onto Dawson Springs Road from Highpoint—he reportedly stopped and then pulled out some, and stopped again when he saw an approaching vehicle.

The vehicle driven by 69-year-old Alan Ladd of Crofton was traveling north on Dawson Springs Road, going straight ahead, and reportedly attempted to hit the brakes but wasn’t able to do so in time.  The two collided fairly head-on.

Ladd and a passenger, 64-year-old Robin Ladd of Crofton, were both transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. McKee was not transported.

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
