With Hopkinsville City Council seats up for election next year, two incumbents and two newcomers have recently filed as council candidates this week.
Republican Ward three council member Donald Marsh and Republican Ward six council member Travis Martin filed for reelection on Monday. Marsh has served on the council since the start of 2023 and Martin has served on the council since 2021.
Both newcomers filed for the Ward nine seat currently held by Jamie Lienberger. Brittanie Bogard filed as a Republican candidate on Thursday and Duane Shepard filed as an Independent candidate on Friday.
