Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East 12th Street and South Clay Street Thursday afternoon.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department, a vehicle driven by 70-year-old Milton Beaulieu was stopped at the stop sign when he attempted to make a right turn, believing he had plenty of time to make it before another vehicle got closer.
The two collided in the intersection—the force of the crash knocked Beaulieu into a parked vehicle and hit a stop sign. He was transported to Jennie Stuart for treatment of shoulder pain.
The driver of the second vehicle, 42-year-old Twione Newell of Hopkinsville, was transported for complaints of back pain.
Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
