Two-vehicle wreck on Eagle Way Bypass results in injuries

Hopkinsville Police responded to a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on Eagle Way Bypass on Saturday that resulted in injuries.

According to a collision report, the wreck occurred as a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Battisti of Clarksville was exiting the Tractor Supply parking lot and was attempting to cross Eagle Way Bypass to enter the Jennie Care parking lot.

As her vehicle was crossing the median, Battisti reportedly failed to yield to traffic when crossing the eastbound lane of the bypass. Paul Shepard of Glasgow was traveling east on the bypass when Battisti’s vehicle reportedly pulling into his path of travel.

According to the report Shepard attempted to speed up and go around Battisti’s vehicle, but ended up be struck in the rear by her vehicle. The collision resulted in Shepard losing control of his vehicle and driving off the roadway where the vehicle flipped onto its roof. Shepard was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for his injuries.
