The University of Kentucky is putting on workshops across the state—including in Christian County—as part of a collaborative “Grow Your Own” series this fall.
According to a news release, the series is made possible through partnerships between the U.S. Small Business Administration, Commerce Lexington, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, KY Apex Accelerator, America’s Small Business Development Center of Kentucky, UK Procurement and Economic Inclusion, UK Cooperative Extension Service and the UK Economic Development Collaborative.
“Growing Our Own” is a comprehensive four-week workshop series aimed at helping women-owned, veteran-owned and minority-owned businesses thrive in Kentucky’s small business landscape. Each session will take place at different locations across the state and will include a Q&A segment, offering insights and information to attendees.
The fall series will take place on September 9, September 16, September 23 and September 30—with each workshop aimed at intentionally equipping and providing resources to individuals within Kentucky, to hopefully foster successful entrepreneurship across the state.
All four workshops, on those dates, will take place at the Christian County Ag. Extension Office on Pembroke Road.
