Vehicle collides with tree after hydroplaning off roadway

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle wreck that resulted in injuries after a vehicle drove off the roadway after hydroplaning on Monday.  

According to a collision report from the office, Colby Lancaster of Hopkinsville was driving a vehicle southbound on Old Madisonville Road when he reportedly drove over water pooling in the roadway which caused his vehicle to hydroplane.

Lancaster’s vehicle then drove off the right side of the roadway before running into a tree that was a part of a fence post head on.

Lancaster was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for a facial injury and leg pain.
