After frigid temperatures and snow swept across the region a couple of weeks ago, forecasts from the National Weather Service in Paducah shows above average temperatures throughout the week and a couple of chances for light rain.
During their weekly weather conference call on Monday, National Weather Service Forecaster, Rachel Trevino says the region will see temperatures near or above average seasonal levels and a chance for light rain on Tuesday and Sunday.
Trevino says the possible precipitation that may fall will be quite small, but if rain does fall overnight or during the early morning hours then it could possibly become a snow mix. However, Trevino says the mixture is not anything to worry about since only a small amount would fall.
Following this week’s seasonally warm temperatures, Trevino says the warmer temperatures will continue into next week, but more precipitation is expected.
