Some of the most hotly contested races in Christian County this election cycle were the races for Christian County School Board in District 1, 2 and 4, and now we have some winners.
In District 1, Erin Westerfield came out on top with 2,369 votes compared to David Webster 1,104—speaking with WHOP News, Westerfield says she’s enjoyed her time on the board so far while filling the unexpired term of Jeff Moore, and now she’s ready to keep that momentum going.
In District 2, it was an extremely close race between incumbent Ambrea Watkins and challenger Margo Pickens, with Watkins coming out on top with 1,536 votes to Pickens’ 1,487 votes. Watkins says she’s grateful for the voters’ support and looks forward to representing them.
District 4 for school board saw another close race between Caleb Ballard and Rebecca Pepper, and it came down to 1,328 votes for Pepper and 1,134 votes for Ballard. Pepper says its been a long race, but she’s eager to re-focus on what’s important—the students of Christian County.
If you live in Districts 3 and 5, don’t worry—those seats will be up for vote during the next election cycle in 2026.
