A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of western Kentucky, including Christian, Todd and Trigg County, until 6 p.m. Monday evening.
Between one to three inches of snow could fall, with most places set to receive somewhere in the middle of those totals, which could cause some treacherous travel conditions—if you go out, make sure to take your time on snow covered roads and give yourself both extra time to make it to your destination, and extra space between vehicles.
The main story is the bitter cold, as temperatures will settle down into the teens during the day and then into the single digits, maybe even near zero in some locations, and that’s not even considering wind chill, which could put temperatures into the negatives.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves and keep alert for signs of hypothermia if you must spend any time outside, such as shivering and unclear speech.
