Woman charged with theft, falsifying records at Hopkinsville Solid Waste

A Hopkinsville woman is facing felony theft charges after she allegedly falsified business records at Hopkinsville Solid Waste.

According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, 51-year-old Jenny Lou Delawson of Hopkinsville use her position at the Human Resources and Administrative Manager of Hopkinsville Solid Waste to falsify business records and steal from the organization. She allegedly altered the settings in the payroll records so that she continued to receive life insurance, but instead of that cost coming from her paycheck, the costs were paid by the company.

Between January of 2019 and May of 2024, Delawson allegedly defrauded the company out of nearly $2,000. 

She was charged with felony theft by unlawful taking and falsifying business records.
